Ex-CFO Slams Motorola With 'Retaliatory Discharge'

Law360, New York (March 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Former Motorola Inc. Chief Financial Officer Paul Liska has reportedly filed a lawsuit accusing the company of “retaliatory discharge,” which under Illinois law refers to a firing that harms the public interest.

The move was reported by the Associated Press and The Chicago Tribune, but it could not be confirmed now that the court has sealed the docket.

The suit, filed in the the State of Illinois Circuit Court of Cook County, was thought to have alleged “wrongful dismissal,” a less serious claim.
