Obama Overturns Stem Cell Research Ban

Law360, New York (March 09, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- In a move that could eventually ramp up intellectual property litigation in the industry, President Obama has lifted a Bush administration-era ban on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research, and has issued fresh promises to develop a strategy for restoring “scientific integrity” to government decision-making regarding the highly controversial process.
