Nev. Nears Long-Term Emissions Planning Law

Law360, New York (March 11, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an effort to prepare energy suppliers for possible carbon emissions regulations down the road, the Nevada Senate's energy committee has voted in favor of a bill that would require certain electricity providers to submit long-term emissions reduction plans to state regulators.

The Nevada Senate's Committee on Energy, Infrastructure and Transportation voted Tuesday in favor of the legislation, which will now come up for a vote before the full Senate.
