Madoff Accountant Arrested On Fraud Charges

Law360, New York (March 18, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Bernard L. Madoff's accountant was reportedly released on $2.5 million bail after being arrested on fraud charges Wednesday.

Federal prosecutors have charged David G. Friehling, the sole practitioner at Friehling & Horowitz CPAs PC, with securities fraud, aiding and abetting investment adviser fraud, and four counts of filing false audit reports with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The SEC filed a separate civil suit against Friehling and F&H in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday.
