Paper Wins Access To County's Sex Harassment Deal

Law360, New York (March 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A three-judge appellate panel has ordered Monmouth County, N.J., to hand over to a newspaper a 2007 settlement agreement that resolved a sexual harassment and discrimination suit brought by the county's traffic engineer.

The Superior Court of New Jersey's Appellate Division issued its decision on Tuesday, giving Monmouth County seven days to make a copy of the settlement agreement available to the appellants, the Asbury Park Press and John Paff, chairman of the New Jersey Libertarian Party's Open Government Advocacy Project.
