Baby Bath Products Contain Formaldehyde: Suit

Law360, New York (March 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of parents has filed a putative class action against several bath product manufacturers, including Johnson & Johnson Consumer Cos. Inc., Gerber Products Co. and the Proctor & Gamble Co., for selling children’s bath products allegedly contaminated with harsh toxins.

Gabrielle Clow and Channing Hesse filed the suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, accusing several companies of selling children’s bath products contaminated with formaldehyde and 1,4-dioxane chemicals, which have been linked to cancer and skin allergies.
