Group Launches Push For Better Corp. Governance

Law360, New York (March 24, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An association of corporate directors has launched a campaign aimed to improve public and shareholder confidence in corporations by strengthening corporate governance, including in the areas of risk oversight and executive compensation.

The Washington, D.C.-based National Association for Corporate Directors, a nonprofit organization with about 10,000 members, launched its campaign for better corporate governance Tuesday, amid a near-constant din of complaints from the media and public complaints of corporate malfeasance .
