Holocaust Insurance Plaintiffs' Lawyers Awarded $3M

Law360, New York (March 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge on Tuesday awarded $3 million in fees to four law firms representing a class in litigation against the Italian insurer Assicurazioni Generali SpA, which was accused of defrauding Holocaust survivors and victims' families.

The fee request, made in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, is reasonable, Judge Andrew J. Peck ruled Wednesday.
