Starent Trims UTStarcom Contract Claims

Law360, New York (March 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Accused of poaching patents, talent and trade secrets from a business now owned by UTStarcom Inc., Starent Networks Corp. has whittled away the claims and now faces mostly patent infringement allegations.

Judge George W. Lindberg of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Tuesday dismissed 11 of UTStarcom’s allegations, which deal mostly with violations of Starent personnel’s employment agreements with their former employer 3Com Corp.
