EU Presses Germany For Deutsche Telekom Rate Info

Law360, New York (March 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Commission has asked Germany's telecommunications regulator to provide details on the rates Deutsche Telekom charges other carriers to connect calls on its fixed-line network, marking the latest brush-up between the two watchdogs over the telecom giant's practices.

The commission sent a letter Friday to Germany's Bundesnetzagentur seeking Deutsche Telekom's fixed call origination and termination rates, the amounts the company charges wholesalers to use its network for their own calls.
