Skadden, Gibson Dunn, Frost Brown Lay Off Staffers

Law360, New York (March 27, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The spate of law firm layoffs continued Friday, with Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP and Frost Brown Todd LLC all announcing significant staff reductions.

Skadden confirmed Friday that it had let go of 50 legal support staffers, including some staff attorneys who worked for the firm on a contract basis.

Those layoffs were spread across Skadden's U.S. offices, and no associates were affected, according to a firm representative.
