Obama Calls Climate Meeting Ahead Of Dec. Talks

Law360, New York (March 30, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- President Obama has invited 16 world leaders to take part in a conference on climate change next month in preparation for the United Nations' climate change negotiations in Copenhagen this December.

Obama announced Saturday that he had invited the leaders of 16 major economies, along with the UN's secretary general, to “advance the exploration of concrete initiatives and joint ventures that increase the supply of clean energy while cutting greenhouse gas emissions.”
