IBM, Others Sued Over Database Patent

Law360, New York (March 31, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Database Records Management LLC, a unit of patent-holding company Acacia Research Corp., has sued computer giant IBM Corp. and several other companies for allegedly infringing a patent on database organization.

The complaint, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, targets IBM, network technology companies EMC Corp. and Vignette Corp., software company Open Text USA Inc., car dealer JM Family Enterprises Inc. and shoemaker Skechers USA Inc.
