Nomadix Wins $3.2M Award In Wireless Patent Suit

Law360, New York (April 1, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has awarded Nomadix Inc. a default judgment of $3.2 million and granted the technology company's bid for a permanent injunction in its suit over wireless connectivity patents against rival Second Rule LLC, which claims to be bankrupt from the litigation.

Judge Dean D. Pregerson of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California handed down the judgment and injunction in separate orders Tuesday. The permanent injunction, based on an earlier preliminary injunction, prohibits Second Rule from infringing five Nomadix patents.
