Inventor Sues Apple Over Online Disk Drive Patent

Law360, New York (April 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Minnesota inventor has launched a suit against Apple Inc., accusing the computer giant of infringing three patents that relate to online data storage.

Mitchell Prust of St. Paul, Minn., filed a complaint against Apple on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging that Apple infringed three patents covering data storage on remote servers accessed by the Internet. Prust has asked for a judgment of infringement, preliminary and permanent injunctions against Apple, damages and attorneys' fees.
