Damages Upped To $371M In Bard Stent Patent Suit

Law360, New York (April 6, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has doubled the amount of damages W. L. Gore & Associates Inc. must pay C.R. Bard Inc. for infringing Bard's patent on a type of prosthetic blood vessel graft, increasing the $185 million jury verdict in the case to $371 million.

Judge Mary H. Murguia of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona on March 31 granted Bard's motion to amend the judgment to provide supplemental damages for post-judgment lost profits.

Her order did not specify the amount of supplemental damages...
