UK Carbon-Capture Projects Clear State Aid Test

Law360, New York (April 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- European Commission competition authorities have signed off on a request by the U.K. to issue state aid to fund new carbon capture and storage technology studies.

The U.K. plans to conduct two so-called “front-end engineering and feasibility studies,” or FEED studies, on two industrial-scale carbon capture and storage demonstration projects, the commission said.
