Steelmakers Target China In Anti-Dumping Petition

Law360, New York (April 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Seven U.S. steel companies and the United Steelworkers union have lodged an anti-dumping and countervailing duty trade case against China imports, alleging that Chinese steelworkers have unfairly dumped tubular and pipe steel.

The USW and the companies filed a petition with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission on Wednesday, saying that the Chinese producers benefit from massive government subsidies.
