Microsoft Consultant Aims To Hire E.U. Trust-Buster

Law360, New York (September 6, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a surprising twist, the European Commission official who was to take the helm at the Microsoft antitrust case has asked to work for a consultancy firm that has the software company as a client.

Henri Piffaut revealed on Wednesday that he has sought leave to work for LECG, an economic consultancy in Europe that provides expert testimony and analysis to major law firms, Fortune Global 500 corporations and government agencies.
