Client Must Rehire In-House Counsel: Court

Law360, New York (April 16, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A state appeals court has affirmed a decision by an arbitration panel reinstating an in-house lawyer, though neither the lawyer nor her former employer is keen on her returning.

Judge Paul Lenz of Wisconsin's Court of Appeals affirmed that Dawn Sands, a former employee of hardware retailer Menard Inc., should be reinstated to her position as in-house counsel, even though neither Sands nor Menard asked for her reinstatement.
