Seven Sues Over Trademarked Back-Pocket Design

Law360, New York (April 16, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Designer denim brand Seven for All Mankind LLC has sued InDesign Apparel Inc. and Oleg Cassini Inc. for distributing a line of jeans at Marshall’s stores that Seven claims copy its distinctive back-pocket design.

Los Angeles-based Seven filed the lawsuit April 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York after the defendants allegedly refused to quit selling denim embroidered with a “confusingly similar” back-pocket design.
