JDSU Settles Tunable Laser Patent Case

Law360, New York (April 16, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- JDS Uniphase Corp. has buried the hatchet with two companies it sued for allegedly infringing three patents related to tunable laser semiconductor chips used in optical communication systems.

In court documents filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Judge Ronald M. Whyte signed off on a settlement agreement between JDSU and defendants Syntune AB and CyOptics Inc. and dismissed the case with prejudice.
