Insurance Groups Blast 'One-Way' Minn. Bill

Law360, New York (April 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The American Insurance Association and other insurance groups are voicing their displeasure over new legislation passed by the Minnesota House of Representatives that the AIA insists puts an unfair burden on the industry and will cause insurance litigation costs to skyrocket.

On Friday, the AIA went on the warpath, criticizing the so-called “one-way loser pays” bill that passed the Minnesota House a day earlier by a vote of 75 to 56.
