BP Loses Bid To Nix Damages In Plant Sale Spat

Law360, New York (April 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a long-running feud over BP Amoco Chemical Co.'s sale of a $300 million chemical plant, a judge has shot down the company's request for summary judgment on damages sought by the plant buyer, which claims BP lied about the facility in a purchase deal.

Judge Amy St. Eve of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Friday denied BP's motion for partial summary judgment on damages claims brought by Flint Hills Resources LLC.
