DuPont, Lucite To Pay $2M Over Air Pollution Claims

Law360, New York (April 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Chemical makers DuPont Co. and Lucite International Inc. have agreed to pay a combined $2 million fine to settle alleged air pollution violations at a plant in West Virginia, state and federal agencies announced Monday.

The companies will pay $1 million to the U.S. and another $1 million to the state of West Virginia as part of a consent decree filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia, the regulators said.
