Baker Cuts 9 Staffers, Freezes Wages For Others

Law360, New York (April 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After eliminating 22 administrative positions in December, Baker & Daniels LLP has made a second round of cuts, laying off nine staff members and implementing a wage freeze for its remaining staffers. The firm also has reportedly dismissed five associates at its Indiana offices.

The nine staff layoffs were spread across several of the firm's seven offices "in a number of different areas," Baker & Daniels chairman and Chief Executive Partner Tom Froehle said Monday.
