Partner Leaves Merging Firm For Jenner & Block

Law360, New York (September 7, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The first partner to leave Kronish Lieb Weiner & Hellman following the announcement of its merger with Cooley Godward has jumped ship to Jenner & Block.

Stephen L. Ascher has joined the Chicago-based firm as a partner in its New York litigation department. He will focus his practice on complex civil and criminal litigation with an emphasis on U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement work, internal corporate investigations and white collar crime.
