FLSA Overtime Rules Apply On Tribal Land: 9th Circ.

Law360, New York (April 21, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has ruled that wage and overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act apply on Indian tribal lands despite their limited sovereignty and that the U.S. Department of Labor has the right to audit the books of tribal-owned businesses.
