Former Exec Cooked Blast Warning: Imperial Sugar

Law360, New York (April 21, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Imperial Sugar Co. has asked a Georgia court to purge the testimony of a former executive who claims he warned the company of dangerous conditions at a Port Wentworth, Ga., refinery, arguing that the executive concocted the alert after a combustible dust blast that killed 14 workers.

The attorneys for the Sugar Land, Texas-based company filed a motion Monday asking the State Court of Chatham County to strike the testimony of former Imperial Vice President of Operations Graham H. Graham.
