Exelon To Use Stimulus Funds For Solar Power Plant

Law360, New York (April 22, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Electric utility Exelon Corp. and solar power system developer SunPower Corp. expect to develop the nation's largest urban solar power plant in Chicago using funds from the federal stimulus package, the companies said Wednesday.

The 10-megawatt solar photovoltaic facility is slated for completion by the end of this year and depends on Exelon receiving a federal loan guarantee under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the companies said.
