DuPont, Others To Offer Deals In Hanford Case: Atty

Law360, New York (April 22, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- DuPont Co. and other defendants in the epic litigation over radiation from a Washington state outpost of the Manhattan Project will make settlement offers to a small number of the remaining 2,100 plaintiffs, the defendants' lead attorney has confirmed.

The defendants, which also include General Electric Co., plan to make settlement offers within the next few weeks to a “relatively small amount” of the plaintiffs in the Hanford Nuclear Reservation Litigation, Kirkland & Ellis LLP's Kevin Van Wart said Thursday.
