Inhofe Pushes For TARP Spending Transparency

James Inhofe, R-Okla., has introduced a measure that seeks to force recipients of Troubled Assets Relief Program funds to disclose any spending not vital to their recovery, taking particular aim at donations made to what the senator calls radical public interest groups.

Inhofe introduced the amendment to S. 386, the Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act of 2009 on Wednesday, saying that the public should know more about nonessential expenditures by rescued firms.
