University Files Patent Suit Against OnStar

Law360, New York (September 8, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Rutgers University has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against General Motors’ OnStar Corp. over technology for audio access to information in a wide area computer network.

The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, alleges that OnStar has made, used and sold a system that directly infringes “each of the elements of one or more claims” in a Rutgers patent.
