JP Morgan Sues Over Check Processing Patents

Law360, New York (April 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- JPMorgan Chase Bank NA has sued LML Payment Systems Corp., a company that processes online payments, for allegedly infringing two patents related to electronic check-reading systems.

In a complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, the financial services firm alleges LML and its wholly owned subsidiary Beanstream Internet Commerce Inc. are each infringing different patents through their check processing services and payment software.
