Linklaters Becomes Latest To Trim Starting Salaries

Law360, New York (April 30, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Following in the footsteps of Clifford Chance LLP and others, Linklaters LLP has reportedly revealed it will cut pay for starting associates and ratchet back raises for other attorneys as the Magic Circle firm looks to cut more costs amid the ongoing economic storm.

Linklaters announced Thursday that it planned to pay incoming London lawyers an estimated £61,500 ($91,000), a drop-off from the £66,600 ($98,600) the firm doled out last year, according to Bloomberg.
