Utilities Sue 3M, Others Over PCB Cleanup

Law360, New York (May 1, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two power companies have filed a lawsuit claiming that dozens of alleged customers of an abandoned electrical transformer repair facility — including 3M Co., Kraft Foods Global Inc. and the Central Intelligence Agency — should kick in to clean up PCBs contaminating the site.

Consolidation Coal Co. and Carolina Power & Light Co. each launched a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
