Deals Rumor Mill: Temasek, Khazanah Nasional, Ferro

By Benjamin Horney (July 18, 2016, 4:51 PM EDT) -- Singapore state-owned investment company Temasek Holdings Pte. is set to offer to buy the shares it does not already own in subway operator SMRT Corp., The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday. According to the report, Temasek may seek to restructure SMRT's operations and business focus once it has acquired the remaining 45 percent it does not currently own. Rumors that Temasek was interested in such a deal date back to December, when reports said Singapore was exploring options for SMRT. Previous reports have said that SMRT has an overall market value of about $1.7 billion....
