Deals Rumor Mill: Sinclair, Brookfield, Time

According to the report, talks are preliminary, and there is no guarantee that a deal will go down. A combination of Sinclair and Tribune, which are valued at $3.8 billion and $3.3 billion, respectively, could only happen if certain Federal Communications Commission regulations are relaxed, the report noted. The combined company would reach more people than current FCC regulations allow. As an alternative, Sinclair may look to buy bits and pieces of Tribune, the report said....
