Ex-Seidman Partner Pleads Guilty To $20M Fraud

Law360, New York (July 31, 2009, 4:16 PM ET) -- Hedge fund manager and ex-BDO Seidman LLP partner Mark Bloom has pled guilty to charges of investment and tax fraud in a case that accuses him of defrauding clients of at least $20 million and helping to set up illegal tax shelters.

Bloom, the sole owner and manager of North Hills Management LLC, pled guilty to counts of securities fraud, mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering and corruptly obstructing the internal revenue laws in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on...
