Plaintiffs Seek Class Cert. In Countrywide Case

Law360, New York (August 27, 2009, 11:45 AM ET) -- The plaintiffs in a putative class action by investors accusing Countrywide Financial Corp. of securities fraud have indicated that they will soon file for class certification in the case.

The plaintiffs, including New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli, filed a notice Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, stating that they will move for certification on Sept. 22.
