Metavante Loses Bid To Stay $6M Lehman Swap Ruling

Law360, New York (October 23, 2009, 7:00 PM ET) -- A bankruptcy judge on Friday rejected efforts by Metavante Corp. to change or stay enforcement of a September ruling that the company owed Lehman Brothers Special Financing Inc. more than $6.6 million in payments stemming from a prepetition swap agreement between the two companies.

Judge James M. Peck of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York denied Metavante's motions to amend and to stay the Sept. 27 decision, a spokeswoman for Lehman confirmed Friday.
