Judge OKs Class Action Against Marsh & McLennan

Law360, New York (December 18, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- A judge on Thursday gave the go-ahead to an ERISA class action brought against fiduciaries of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc.’s stock investment plan for allegedly failing to warn investors that the company's stock was inflated as a result the alleged bid-rigging and price-fixing that took place at the company.

The order, issued by Judge Shirley Wohl Kram of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, allows the plaintiffs to proceed with their suit against all defendants named in the complaint....
