Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., announced Thursday that he has pulled the plug on bipartisan talks over financial regulatory reform legislation and intends to introduce a version of the long-delayed bill next week, with the goal of bringing it to the U.S. Senate floor by Memorial Day.
“It has always been my goal to produce a consensus package,” Dodd said in a statement. “And we have reached a point where bringing the bill to the full committee is the best course of action to achieve that end.”...
