Law360, New York (June 17, 2010, 4:34 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Justice on Thursday defended Bryan Cave LLP partner and deputy attorney general nominee James Cole in his role as independent monitor of American International Group Inc. amid allegations he shielded certain of AIG's transactions from regulatory oversight.
