Law360, New York (June 21, 2010, 4:02 PM ET) -- A Bank of New York Mellon Corp. unit that caters to rich clients said Monday it had entered into an agreement to acquire I(3) Advisors Inc. of Toronto, an independent wealth advisory company with some $3.44 billion in client assets.
Details on the financing and value of the transaction, which is still subject to regulatory approval, were not disclosed, though BNY Mellon did note the purchase would be its first wealth management acquisition in Canada.
