Goldman's Tourre Denies SEC Allegations

Law360, New York (July 19, 2010, 6:58 PM ET) -- The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. bond trader at the heart of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's fraud suit against the financial giant has denied the regulator's claims against him, saying he cannot be held responsible for any of the bank's “alleged failings.”

Attorneys for Fabrice Tourre, a Goldman vice president, told the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Monday in a response to the SEC's complaint that the claims against him were “improperly vague, ambiguous and confusing.”
