Nikko Execs To Be Named In Suit

Law360, New York (February 09, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- The former executives at Japanese brokerage Nikko Cordial Corp. implicated in an accounting fraud scandal at the firm will soon find themselves in court.

The head of the firm’s in-house investigation committee said that Nikko plans to file a lawsuit against the former executives that demands compensation for financial losses caused by the alleged scheme, Dow Jones has reported.

The suit will most likely name former senior group executive Hajime Yamamoto and former president of subsidiary Nikko Principal Investments Japan Ltd. Hirofumi Hirano, according to sources....
