Weil Work Product Protected From Prying Mayer Eyes

Law360, New York (August 04, 2010, 7:13 PM ET) -- A federal judge issued a ruling Wednesday that will stop Mayer Brown LLP — accused of violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act in its representation of defunct brokerage firm Refco Inc. — from waiving the work product doctrine in its dealings with certain lawyers from plaintiffs' counsel Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP.
