Securities Litigation Trends: Financial Services

Law360, New York (February 14, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Still entangled in cases stemming from the scandals that engulfed WorldCom, Parmalat and Salomon Smith Barney, Citigroup Inc. was involved in more securities lawsuits than any other financial services company in 2006, according to our litigation survey of the 50 largest U.S. financial services companies.

While securities litigation in the finance industry has been on the steady decline for the past six years, Citigroup was involved in 111 securities lawsuits in 2006.
