Law360, New York (August 26, 2010, 4:21 PM ET) -- Sole remaining defendant Discover Financial Services has reached a settlement with DataTern Inc., closing the door on a patent infringement suit over data access technology that had targeted a number of companies in the financial and transportation sectors.
Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Wednesday granted a joint motion to dismiss filed by DataTern and Discover, which cites a confidential settlement agreement dated Aug. 12.
